1. Scope

This Policy applies to information collected through this website, including the contact form, member accounts or areas, comments and other user submissions, the online store, and the shopping cart and checkout process, when available.

It does not automatically apply to independent applications, platforms, or services — including RumiTrace — nor to third-party sites accessible through links. Those services may be subject to separate notices or privacy policies.

Contact information: first name, last name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message or request.

Purchase and delivery information: email, name, phone number, country or region, address, city, postal code, products ordered, quantities, order history, promotional codes, and transaction status.

Account or membership information: profile information, account identifiers, preferences, and authentication data managed through the site's technology platform.

User-submitted content: comments, reviews, questions, photographs, documents, opinions, or other information you choose to post or submit.

Communications: information you send us by email, phone, WhatsApp, social media, or other channels related to a matter initiated on the site.

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, government identification, medical records, tax information, passwords, full credit card or bank account numbers, or other sensitive information through the general contact form, comments, or site messages, unless FFICR expressly requests it through an authorized channel and for a legitimate purpose.

Data necessary to authorize payments is processed through the payment provider available at checkout. FFICR may receive confirmations, payment status, and limited transaction data, but does not request that full card numbers be submitted through the site's general forms.

Information you post in comments, reviews, profiles, or public areas may be visible to other users and visitors. Avoid disclosing information you do not wish to make public.

The site may include links or integrations with WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, payment platforms, delivery services, government pages, and other third parties. When you use those services, the third party may collect information under its own terms and policies. FFICR does not control the privacy practices of external sites or services and recommends reviewing their notices before providing information.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, to provide services, maintain records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, contractual, and audit obligations. The retention period may vary depending on the type of information and the related matter.

When information is no longer needed, we will endeavor to delete it, anonymize it, or retain it under restricted access, as applicable. Some copies may temporarily remain in backups or security logs until their normal deletion cycles are completed.

No system or Internet transmission can guarantee absolute security. If a security breach occurs that requires notification, FFICR will act in accordance with applicable law, including Puerto Rico Act No. 111-2005, as amended, when applicable.

Subject to applicable law and permitted exceptions, you may request to:

• know whether we hold personal information about you and obtain access to or a copy of it;

• correct inaccurate or incomplete information;

• delete information that is no longer necessary, when there is no legitimate obligation to retain it;

• stop receiving promotional communications; and

• close an account or manage cookie preferences, where those options are available.

To protect your information, we may request reasonable data to verify your identity and authority before fulfilling a request. A deletion request does not necessarily cover records we must retain by law, for a pending transaction, or for security, audit, or defense of claims.

We may contact you to respond to a matter, confirm or update an order, provide service information, issue administrative notices, or address matters related to your account. If you receive promotional communications, you may opt out using the link or instructions included in the message, or by writing to info@fondocarnederes.com. Transactional or legally required messages may continue even after opting out of promotions.
 

12. Children's Privacy

This site is directed to the general public and to persons related to the cattle industry; it is not designed to intentionally collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that information from a child under 13 was collected without the required authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian may contact us to request a review.
 

13. Processing in Other Jurisdictions

The technology providers that support the site may process or store information in Puerto Rico, the United States, or other jurisdictions where they operate. In such cases, we seek to use providers and appropriate measures consistent with the obligations applicable to FFICR.
