Regional Investment Incentives for the Meat Industry.
Livestock Industry: Replacement Program
Financial assistance for breeding cows of $240.00 per head up to a maximum of 50 heifers per farmer , per year.
Heifers will be branded using a screen and rumen bolus. To be branded and paid for, the heifer must be a minimum of nine (9) months old and a maximum of eighteen (18) months old.
Permitted breeds of breeding cows, young bulls and pregnant heifers :
Brahman, Charolais, Charbray, Brangus, Limousine, Simmental, Santa Gertrudis, Senepol, Others approved by the Department of Agriculture.
Incentive for Agricultural Workers
Se ofrece el mínimo de $165.00 o el 4% del ingreso anual hasta un máximo de $235.00.
Eligibility
Having worked no less than 200 hours or having had an income of no less than $200.00 for salary and supplementary payment earned in agricultural work, including coffee picking.
(12-month period from July 1st of each fiscal year to June 30th of the following year).
Incentive for Machinery
Reimbursement of up to 50% of the cost of leasing machinery. Maximum incentive of $8,000 per fiscal year .

Construction of ponds and embankments
Incentive for Specialized Livestock Teams
Financial assistance is offered, covering up to 50% of the farmer's investment, with a maximum of $12,000 per farmer per year . This includes equipment such as tractors and implements, generators, chainsaws, trimmers, sprayers, and other structures. Only new equipment from local distributors or U.S. buyers is eligible.
Livestock Facilities will be considered as Specialized Equipment.
Eligibility
For all those technologically advanced agricultural teams that lead to improving and increasing agricultural production in all its phases.
That he/she does not participate in any other financial aid program.
Incentive for Planting Improved Pastures
Financial assistance offered of $200.00 per acre up to a maximum of 60 acre, with a maximum of $12,000.00 per farmer per year.
Variety of grasses: Pangola, Guinea, Star, Buffel, Merker Elephant, Manadu, Needle Grass, Kleberg Bluestem, Medium Bluestem and other recommendations by Department of Agriculture or Experimental Station or Agricultural Extension Service.
Includes
Land preparation and seeds for livestock breeding and grazing companies for meat, sheep, goats and forage production (hay and silage).
Agricultural Wage Subsidy
The subsidy corresponds to 50% of the salary, which is $5.25.
Eligibility
Mantener expedientes donde conserve el historial de sus trabajadores por el término de cinco (5) años. Este tiene que ser Agricultor Bonafide
Presentar evidencia de haber completado la encuesta general de la División de Estadísticas Agrícolas del Departamento de Agricultura.
Operar legalmente una finca en cualquier concepto de tenencia legal.
Cumplir con la Ley Núm. 99 de 2 de julio de 2002, conocida como "Ley de Seguros Agrícolas de Puerto Rico".
Cumplir con el pago de las responsabilidades obrero patronal (Corporación del Fondo del Seguro del Estado, Seguro Social Patronal y Seguro por Desempleo).
Pagar al menos el salario mínimo agrícola garantizado por la Ley 60 del 1 de julio de 2019.
